Giving gifts was fun this morning, albeit these days anything I get for Christmas is, for the most part, something I could buy myself if it was something I knew I wanted. Anyway, I had fun buying gifts for my mom (measuring spoons and a pocket knife... but then she bought and wrapped a pocket knife for herself... fail...). I also picked up a frisbee and an outdoor tennis set at REI that looked fun. Hopefully they'll get some use. I received a jetboil stove + fuel, a couple of books, and a basketball shaped stress ball. That stress ball is going to get a lot of use. Hopefully the stove will too once I feel up to getting back out there again. Haven't looked at the books yet.
Did a pump dvd. It was only 30 minutes (they're badly labeled and I picked one at random), but definitely got something out of it + feeling better after. Hopefully don't feel lousy tomorrow.
Also doing some room cleaning today, got rid of tons of pens / pencils from desk that I rarely use and seem to accumulate faster than they disappear. Also got rid of some old stuffed animals and have a pile of books waiting to either be read or donated. Room is messier than when I started, but I guess it's one of those things that get worse before they get better.
Saw a coyote on walk today and it made me happy. Also, feeling better in the afternoon than in morning, possibly b/c ate a couple eggs cooked in coconut oil?

2015 new years resolutions
Organize
- keep room reasonably clean / organized
- clean out sock drawer
- clean out desk
- figure out why hair is always frizzy + do something about it
- Invest money properly
- fix anterior pelvic tilt
- get comfortable driving on freeways
- use gift matching program
- Deal with acne
- Make an effort to dress nicer
- Clean out google drive
Learn things - complete one online class
- practice uke / guitar 4x for 15+ minutes each
- finish an art project
- read a book about dog / cat owning / psychology
- learn about personal finance
- take a mountain biking class
Get stronger - do core regularly
- run 365 miles
- take mountain bike to arastradero preserve twice.
- do 3 workouts from kacie (or other) blog
- do body pump workout 3x
- run a 5k fun run
- roll muscles 3x for 10+ minutes each
Improve relationship with food - don't eat when not hungry
- no eating while standing
- no random grazing
- do not bring snacks to desk that don't plan on eating
- eat like someone is watching you
- take 10 deep breaths instead of eating a snack when not hungry 10x
- go for a walk instead of eating a snack when not hungry 3x
- Cook something without snacking compulsively while cooking 3x
Have fun - Take a dance (or similar) class
- go horse riding
- Go stargazing
- go on a backpacking trip
- watch 5 sunsets
- Take pictures of 3 rainbows
- go for a run in the dark
- use 20 hrs paid volunteer time
- Travel to Dublin, Ireland and enjoy it
- Take a facebook profile picture I'm proud of
- Play 5 games of scrabble and 5 games of banana grams
- make something with the mini lathe
Relax - take 3 epsom salt baths
- stay logged out of facebook on laptop. Use facebook less on phone
- go for a walk at lunch time at least once every two weeks
- Try 10 minutes of meditation 3x
- Go to a yoga class
- stop reading blogs that don't care about. Find better blogs / reading sources
Be happy - make an effort to smile more
- give mom unsolicited hug
- keep a journal of happy things.
